Updated on 01-31-17, the primary blade file is now divided along its thin edge to allow for print without any support structures. To use, print both top and bottom halves of the main blade separately, and then glue them together. The previous version of this blade required a custom support structure setup that often resulted in a rough surface which needed significant bondo and sanding to fix. The STL files for MrGundam's Klingon Daq Tahg dagger are ready for printing. These files include foot attachments for each component, which can be removed using an exacto knife after printing. Instructions: The main blade, when printed at stock size with custom support material, will measure 287.2mm in length and requires a printer with a large bed. For the blades, use a layer height of 0.100mm for sharp edges and overhang areas. Layer heights of 0.150-0.200mm are recommended for handles. Turn on support for handle pieces, as minimal support is needed. Print each piece separately, apply auto body filler to the bottom of the main blade, sand/file/test fit until satisfied, then paint and assemble with glue.
