Klein Bottle Earring

Klein Bottle Earring

myminifactory

I am creating a revolutionary 4D object that can be worn as an earring, featuring a Klein bottle with no edges and mathematically zero volume. This unique design allows for the outside to also be the inside of the bottle, making it a true marvel of geometry. To create this extraordinary piece, I'm utilizing the hole in the bottle as a handle to attach a hook that will securely fasten the earring to my ear. The support material used is the powder inside the bottle, which can easily be removed by simply tipping and tilting the bottle, allowing for easy access to the interior. This design was specifically created for the Sinterit Lisa competition, taking advantage of the printer's capabilities to produce complex geometries with ease. Unlike FDM printers, the Sinterit Lisa allows for removable support material, making it ideal for this type of intricate design. I've also included a cross-sectioned view of the earring, which can be printed in conjunction with a regular one for a unique look. Printing both designs is a great way to showcase the versatility and capabilities of the Sinterit Lisa printer. As soon as someone (hopefully me) successfully prints this piece on the Sinterit Lisa, I will replace the rendered image with a 3D printed version.
