I was bursting with excitement to participate in this week's challenge because I had been deeply fascinated by hand-painted texture styles for quite some time. This is my very first serious attempt to put something together, and I'm thrilled with how it turned out despite the tight time frame. The inspiration behind this piece still eludes me, but I'm grateful that it came together as well as it did.
