I'm shaking off some modeling skills with a basic fruit model. The idea came from observing how this 3D artist, Joyce Minion, uses simple gradient textures in her work. I actually appreciate the approach; however, I might remove the seeds since they seem to take away from the overall effect rather than add to it. Using this method was a lot of fun and the ability to update UVs as textures change is a great workflow.
