It's a slightly tricky print job to tackle. Your cat might actually end up loving it though - let's hope so! Otherwise, you know the drill. This little sphere's design draws inspiration from Buckminsterfullerene, a remarkable chemical compound used extensively in nanotechnology for its incredible strength and durability. The hollow core houses an additional solid buckyball. The specifics of this tiny marvel are impressive: Its overall diameter measures about 4.5 cm The skeleton's thickness is roughly 1.5 cm in diameter. Don't forget to follow the included instructions carefully to minimize PLA or plastic waste while printing it out. Printed with ColorFabb's GlowFill, the glowing effect truly stands out! Instructions Crafted using C4D R16 Getting this right took a few attempts and adjustments. I discovered that excessive friction between the nozzle and skeleton towards the top could cause detachment from the build platform. Lowering the fan speed by 80% midway through printing proved helpful, as did incorporating a brim and raft to secure the design. My settings were as follows: 0.35mm first layer thickness Following layers at 0.12 mm each 15% infill Speed should be moderate but avoid accelerating for bridges Operating temperature: 205 degrees Celsius Brim size: 10mm Raft consisted of four thin layers, each with a spacing of 0.25 mm
