Update! If you think a food-safe version is worth producing, vote for it on Quirky to make it happen: http://www.quirky.com/invent/643589. One of my cats rapidly devours its wet food, so I created this lid to fit onto their regular cat bowl, forcing them to use their paws and eat slower while keeping them entertained. Watch a video of my cat testing it out here: http://youtu.be/PWyvQnvVrFA. You can print, lasercut, or order the lid in various materials. I've provided three versions: an STL file for 3D printing without support material (suitable for PLA but not food-safe), a DXF file for lasercutting from acrylic or other sheets with a rubber band to keep it in place, and printable options from food-safe ceramics on i.Materialise, Shapeways, and Ponoko. The lids fit best with this nap: http://www.zooplus.de/shop/katzen/fressnapf/kunststoff/fressnapf/157432. Vote now to bring a food-safe version to life!
