KitchenAid tool's clutch protective bell
thingiverse
I was thoroughly shocked to discover that on brand new KitchenAid "Artisan" models, there's no longer a tiny bell with its spring that securely holds the tool in place. Older machines had this feature, and it's significantly better than without it! I'm completely perplexed as to why they chose to eliminate this inexpensive component. Without it, the tool moves up and down, producing noise and leading to even more disappointments... So, I decided to take matters into my own hands. It's a very simple design that does the trick. To get started, you'll need to find a spring that fits the axis (13mm). Once you've done that, you can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing your tool is securely in place!
