KitchenAid Replacement Knob
thingiverse
Here is a replacement knob for a KitchenAid stand mixer, salvaged from a broken one with no clear explanation of how it occurred. No major issues were encountered; just print one out. The hole in the new design is slightly smaller than the shaft's diameter due to the fact that I heated the shaft using a heat gun and pushed it into place carefully. Once it cooled down, it held up well. I used PLA plastic for this project because it melts at a lower temperature. If you decide to use ABS instead, be prepared to print at 101% to account for shrinkage. To ensure durability against potential abuse, I printed the wall thickness in four layers.
