Kitchenaid Mazzer mod

This thing is a work in progress, as I've been tweaking files here and there after printing parts and refining the design. I wanted to upgrade my Kitchenaid Proline Burr grinder but couldn't get hold of Ben Choong's mod kit like many others. I eventually stumbled upon janrm's 3D files. Since janrm didn't have a drill template like Ben's mod, I created one using janrm's files. Since it's probably not a good idea to use plastic for the back burr adapter like the aluminum one Ben uses, I decided to drill directly into the body of the grinder and use a plastic adapter that doesn't require heavy structural integrity. Also, I found I needed an adapter despite reading in forums that other people just attached the burr directly to the body of the grinder. The mazzer burrs are at least a millimeter larger in diameter compared to the stock burrs. They won't fit into the little round cavity that's in the back of the grinder. I've modified the adapter plate so there's a hole at the top. The grinder seems to work better with all screws screwed in. Since the third hole isn't aligned with a hole in the body of the grinder, secure the screw with a nut on the other end. Then attach the burr with the adapter to the body of the grinder. I think the mazzer mini burrs use M5 machine screws. I couldn't find any that fit the burr nicely at my local hardware stores, so I used 8-32 screws. I believe 8-32 is a bit smaller than M5, but the drill templates should work for either. If you print in plastic, you can just drill right through it easily. Also, this mod creates a lot of grind retention in the grinder. More so than using the stock burrs. So I created some washers that fit behind the stationary back burr. I made a 2 mm thick washer and a 1 mm thick washer. Depending on how fine you plan to grind, you can use one or the other, or stack them and use both. I suggest watching Ben Choong's video before attempting this mod. It really helped me out on what parts were needed. Lastly, try to print these files in white, so that if any of the parts start breaking apart, you can more easily see it in the grinds. The only part I would not print in white is the adjuster spacer, I would print that in black to preserve the aesthetic of the grinder.
