Kitchen Spongeholder

Want to live a healthy life? Start by paying attention to the details! Your little yellow kitchen sponge probably contains more bacteria than your entire bathroom, but you're using it to clean your dinner plates! With this simple device, your sponge can dry much faster, causing the bacteria to die. This is a nice side effect - your kitchen stays clean and dry, with water flowing directly into the sink. The pictures show the original design, spongeholder_v1. I improved it by adding some deliberate tears, so that the sponge also dries from the bottom side. These changes are included in the updated file, spongeholder_v2. To print this design successfully, follow these settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer Model: fullmetal P3 Steel Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20-30% Notes: I recommend using a brim to ensure the thin front edges stick to the bed. Support from the print bed is essential. For me, PLA works fine, but if you use extremely hot cleaning water above 60°C, it may cause issues and you should switch to PETG or ABS instead. Use three or more toplayers to prevent holes in the top surface. Water could seep inside and lead to mold. Build volume: 100mm x 85mm x 33mm
