Kitchen Sink Strainer for Garbage Disposal
myminifactory
I came up with this design because I was tired of the regular disposal rubber strainer/cover, that came with the unit, not draining well and you always have to poke it to get big pieces to go down. The design is simple, but, I think, quite effective. The water drains really well and food just goes down without having to poke at it. It automatically closes up so when you run the disposal it does spray upward. Like my other strainer, which I'm still using to this day, I recommend printing with either ABS or PETG. ABS can be a pain, so I normally print with PETG. I wouldn't recommend washing it in the dishwasher, it causes them to warp/melt a little. *UPDATE - I've been using this now for four months and it is still going strong!
