My kitchen faucet has the same type of neck as the one shown in the picture, so I wanted something to hold my sponge or scourer in place. Living in a hard water area means that limescale deposits form when the water dries out, and they don't look very nice on stainless steel. I searched around for something that would fit on the mixer tap but only found ones designed for vertical pipes. So I took an old soap dish I had made earlier for my bathroom and modified it to fit my needs. To attach it, I used two M3 x 50 bolts, two M3 washers, and two M3 thumb nuts.
