kitchen ceiling strip
thingiverse
During our house renovation, I installed ceiling strips in the corners, but found it extremely challenging to cut them at the correct angle. Cutting at an exact right angle becomes even more difficult when the corners are not a perfect 90 degrees. Perhaps I'm just not skilled enough to make precise cuts. We're currently using strips similar to these from the hardware store: https://www.amazon.com/deckenabschlussleisten-Baumarkt/s?ie=UTF8&language=en_US&page=1&rh=n%3A80084031%2Ck%3Adeckenabschlussleisten Clearly, this is a job well-suited for a 3D printer. As you can see from the picture, I'm still working on the ceiling. For both angles, I created an original Inventor 2018 file that allows me to adjust them for corners. The next step in this project involves creating a transition piece that connects these specially formed strips to standard 25 x 6 mm flat strips. Enjoy and happy printing!
