Kitchen Cabinet Series - Base Corner

Interested in kitchen design? Want to see a remodeled kitchen beyond a simple CAD rendering? Looking to create toy cabinets and appliances or filming claymation with realistic props? You've come to the right place! I used to design kitchens at a big box retailer, where I thought it would be useful to have props or examples of cabinets to help customers understand spatial arrangements. I created a series of common cabinets and sizes that I typically saw when quoting out kitchens. I aim to model some of the more obscure cabinet types. All cabinets were designed 1:1 scale, requiring scaling down for printing. A 5% scale seems like the best tradeoff between saving materials and having useful models printed. Cabinet types and naming are based on Schrock's Trademark series specification guide available here - Schrock literature. Basic cabinetry sizes include base cabinets, which have a standard depth of 24 inches and stand 34.5 inches tall. Typically, a 1.5-inch countertop would be added on top to make it 36 inches high. Widths range from 6 inches in increments of three inches up to 48 inches. Wall cabinets have a standard depth of 12 inches and come in heights ranging from 12 inches up to 48 inches in three-inch increments. They can also vary in width from 12 inches up to 48 inches, with some specialty units being only six or nine inches wide. Some wall cabinets are double-depth at 24 inches deep, but these are usually placed above a refrigerator. Note: The blind cabinets have a pre-attached three-inch board. When ordering cabinets, they ship loose so that they can be cut down in the field if needed.
