Kitchen Cabinet Decorative Moulding
thingiverse
To match my 25-year-old kitchen cabinet molding, I couldn't find an off-the-shelf alternative and only needed a few sections and corners. So, I crafted my own by measuring the depth with a contour gauge, sketching it on paper, refining the design through multiple Scad iterations, and printing 2mm tall cross-sections for accurate comparison. The final design's vertical straight sections are approximately 100mm high, with adjustable height controlled by the length parameter in Scad. Print individual pieces first, then progress to sets of four using the quad option before attempting corners. Post-printing, apply a spray-on plastic primer for enhanced durability; I sourced mine from Home Depot. After priming, paint according to your desired color scheme, with lighter colors requiring light filament to avoid multiple coats of paint.
