Kitchen Aid roller pin replacement
thingiverse
At one year, my Kitchen Aid dishwasher's Upper Rack roller pin gave out, breaking off from the basket. Three years after purchasing it, two more pins failed me. The pins in my dishwashers were molded into a large piece of plastic that couldn't be printed as is, so I cut away the excess material and inserted new pins. These pins sat in an oval-shaped indent, which I carefully removed by cutting out the area. Since precision wasn't necessary, I took my time to ensure a smooth fit. I then used pliers to grip the round end of the pin and rotated it into place, securing it firmly. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer Model: R1 ABS + PLA Raft Settings: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill Percentage: 100% Notes: Printed with Alloy 910 Nylon. This is a must for the part to withstand dishwasher heat and provide necessary resilience and strength.
