Kitchen Aid bowl lid
cults3d
This is a custom lid designed specifically for a 4.8l KitchenAid bowl. My little sister is an avid home baker and loves whipping up bread and pastries from scratch. She often finds herself in need of storing her bowl's contents in the fridge to allow dough to rest or simply to keep them covered. Aluminum foil just isn't environmentally friendly enough for her taste, so she approached me with a request - could I design and print a custom lid for her KitchenAid bowls? I was intrigued by this challenge, not because it's particularly complex, but rather because the outer diameter of 223mm pushes the limits of my printer's capabilities. However, my trusty Ender3 managed to rise to the task. The lid is crafted from two separate parts for ease of printing: the main lid with a central hole and the detachable knob that makes lifting the lid a breeze. For those who'd like to modify or improve this design, I've included the inventor files as always. Happy printing!
