Recommended slicer settings for each part attached in README file. Parts are pre oriented for printing. "dup" in the file name means you need to print it twice, as it is a paired symmetrical part. No need to mirror them though, especially not front_04_dup, as you don't want to flip the tomoe motif. Divided front_03_dup, and rear_03 into pieces to be able to print them without supports. These files are also included, not just the halves, in case you'd like to give it a try with supports. List of parts blade_01.stl blade_02.stl blade_03_dup.stl front_01.stl front_02.stl (front_03_dup.stl) front_03_dup_btm.stl front_03_dup_top.stl front_04_dup.stl rear_01.stl rear_02.stl (rear_03.stl) rear_03_btm.stl rear_03_top.stl Assembling Get a rod, 28mm diameter, about 170cm long. Put the parts on the rod. Rear parts Make a sub-assembly from rear_03_btm and rear_03_top. Glue them together. Put on rear_03 with 23cm distance from the end of the rod. Then put on rear_02, and place rear_01 on the end of the rod. Glue together rear_01 and rear_02. Front parts Put on front_01, then front_02. Push on front_02 until the rod reaches the end of the hole. Prepare the sub-assemblies of front_03_dup by gluing together the bottom and top parts of it. Glue on front_04_dup by placing it into the space on top of front_02. Rotate it into a position where the tip of a comma like part of the tomoe motif just touches the peak of part_02. Blade parts Get a 76cm long, d=6mm rod. This gives reinforcement to the blade. A 6mm hole goes through the blade parts to take into the rod. Glue together the parts. Insert the assembled blade into the space of front_02. Glue together these parts as well to avoid relative movement of these parts. Slide on the sub-assemblies of front_03 to the blade, and place it in position, by snapping in its protusion into the hole on the sides of front_02.
