kit to transform flsun 3D i3 printer into a foldable printer
thingiverse
Still under development, I aimed to design a printer that could fold up and fit neatly into a closet when not in use. To achieve this goal, I opted to mount the Z motor at the bottom of the printer, freeing up space in the front. This approach is similar to one I showcased in another Z motor mount project. My initial prototype is still work-in-progress, with some lag issues persisting on the Z axis. A new version is currently underway, with a focus on enhancing stability and compactness. With careful adaptation, this design concept could be applied to other 3D printers like the Creality CR10 or Anet E8, although specific modifications would be necessary due to varying details.
