KIT Record Player/Centrifuge/Governor

Designed for the Remix Challenge, this project has become a defining feature of the end-of-year season. Initially, the goal was to create a perfect record player with a stepper motor and amplifier or Bluetooth capabilities, which proved to be an ambitious task several years ago. Recognizing the complexity of the undertaking, it was decided that this kit must be fully printed. This versatile kit can be assembled in various configurations, with additional possibilities planned for the future: A music player remixed from the Hand Cranked Vinyl Player (available on Thingiverse as http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:558600), enhanced with a governor speed limiter and stabilizer as seen in this YouTube video: https://youtu.be/tOCJkHy4H8A. A centrifuge adapted from the DremelFuge (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1483) can reach speeds of approximately 1500RPM, driven by a hand-operated geared reducer with a multiplier of 1:12. Additionally, Eppendorf micro tubes were printed due to unavailability in local pharmacies, as demonstrated in this video: https://youtu.be/Rj7v2Tgs-9Q. The music player can be assembled without the governor, using bearings like those found in http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1864589, or with a governor styled after http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:581807. A 3D model of the fully assembled unit is available for reference. Print Settings: Printer: Graber i3 reworked Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Layer 0.2, nozzle 0.3 Infill: 30%
