Kit Fontaine du Dauphin (Givry)
cults3d
Digital preservation of heritage through 3D scanning and photogrammetry from the ground. Scanned on January 25, 2017. Then processed under Self OS (Linux) and MICMAC software from IGN. The Dolphin Fountain, a work by Narjoux, was built in 1829. Water erupted from the mouth of the animal placed in a niche at the front of the building and fell into a sort of watering hole. At the back of the edifice, a second water supply allowed easy filling of containers. Initially, this fountain was located at the intersection of Cluny Street and Verdun Boulevard, accompanied by a plane tree. As traffic increased, the ensemble became annoying at this crossroads. In 1965, the plane tree was uprooted, revealing a marker and a shell fragment in its trunk, a relic of Givry's liberation. The fountain was installed in its current location, and the basin in front of the building was transformed into a flower box. The kit includes: a folder with 46 photographs of high-resolution views at 16 million pixels, format 4608x3456; an undensified point cloud with view positions; a densified point cloud in PLY format; a reconstruction file in STL format for 3D printing; and a Blender file (.blend) for modifying the 3D model.
