KISS ESC tray and guard for ZMR250 or other quad
thingiverse
I designed a custom tray for my ZMR250 miniquad to hold four KISS ESCs. The design can also be adapted for other frames. The finished product weighs approximately 3 grams. Printing it at 0.2mm resolution with 20% infill using Simplify3D was the way to go. Version 5 is from January 18th, 2015 and is stored as kissesc-holder-r5.stl. When refining my design, I made adjustments to smooth out unnecessary angles on either side. The addition of airflow holes through the use of ribs improved airflow without sacrificing structural integrity. However, to prevent water from entering through the bottom, I refrained from adding holes in that area. If you plan to create this tray for yourself, here's a step-by-step guide: Print out the custom-designed tray. Mount four KISS ESCs onto it using either hot glue or 3M VHB tape. Solder the required wiring connections according to your setup specifications. As an added measure of protection, apply a coat of PlastiDip or similar insulation material to the top of the tray.
