In Kirkdale House, Kirkcudbright, Dumfries and Galloway, a small yet significant carved stone block sits in storage. Despite challenging conditions in the shed, it's possible to discern some of its intricate details through photography. While its origin remains a mystery, experts suspect that this enigmatic block was unearthed locally. On its weathered surface, a prominent cup mark stands, flanked by several concentric rings and a distinctive tail extending from the central depression.
