Kirito's Sword the Elucidator
thingiverse
I created this model for a local engineering contest last weekend. Unfortunately, I don't currently own one because I broke the prototype (by swinging it too hard). I had originally planned to make the drawings exact right size to the actual model but noticed my measurements are slightly off. I'll work on that. For now, scaling up parts by 10% brings it very close to the real sword. Please don't criticize me for how I designed this model, as people have different artistic interpretations of this design. Feel free to remix it to fit your interpretation. Keep in mind this is my first upload and took about four hours to create with research on sword sizes included. I know it isn't perfect. If I receive good feedback on this version, I will revisit the model and make a more refined one later. Note: I've lost the flash drive that contains all the original .SLDPRT files and only have the recovered .STL files sent via email. Sometimes they don't display correct units when opened. You can convert them to the right size using factors in your printing software. If you have questions or need help, please email me at bananagangstersofawesomeness@gmail.com This model was inspired by another design that I do not own. UPDATE: May 7th: Both sides of the sword are accurate as is, but "Handle", "Blade Bottom", and "Blade Top" need to be scaled to a correct size using conversion factors (25.4 units). Largest Piece About 495mm x 77mm x 6mm (19.5in x 3.1in x .24in) Handle Scale: 25.4 Side of sword Scale: 1 Side_of_sword2 Scale: 1 Blade Bottom Scale: 25.4 Blade Top Scale: 25.4 Please note that printing this smaller than full size is not ideal, as the blade at full size is only around 6mm thick and may break when assembled. If you have any questions, email me at bananagangstersofawesomeness@gmail.com. The parts are pretty simple to assemble and require a little bit of glue. However, be careful when joining the two pieces that make up the blade as it's relatively weak due to its thin thickness but not metal-like durability.
