Kirby Star Night Light
thingiverse
Update 1/23/2018 - Made key changes to the model allowing for increased glow space and easier printing. This project was created as a gift for my nephew who is a huge Kirby fan. Printing this model is a breeze. I used pink and yellow PLA with an extremely low infill setting, then painted the raised pixels on Kirby. The cheapest and easiest way to achieve a clean glossy look is by using cheap black nail polish. The two parts fit together without any issues when printed as designed, although they do have a tight fit. I utilized a cheap LED tea light for the light source: https://www.amazon.com/Everyday-Waterproof-Wedding-Underwater-36/dp/B0040ICQVO Print Settings: Printer Brand: PowerSpec Printer: Ultra 3D Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 3mm Infill: 15% Notes: The model is relatively simple. Be mindful of the face of the star, which should only be 3mm thick.
