Kingroon KP3 / Generic CR-10 (Ender 2, 3, etc) Easy Fit 40mm Cooling Duct
thingiverse
I discovered the CR-10 40mm Stock Hotend Easy Fit Cooling Duct by RaffoSan and was pleased with how well it fit my genuine Creality heatsink, but found it ever-so-slightly loose on my generic heatsinks. Since I use generic heatsinks in my daily printers, I made a minor adjustment to the mounting arms on the back of RaffoSan's model to ensure they hugged my generic heatsinks snugly. Before making this modification, the cooling duct would wobble left and right, causing an unpleasant noise against my parts fans due to the vibration from the fan. With the new modification, it is now securely attached and cannot move, eliminating all vibration noises. I purchase my knock-off heatsinks from Kee Pang (Kingroon) on Amazon, but this design should fit most knock-off heatsinks, even if RaffoSan's model is a bit loose. I wrap a sock around all of my hotends to insulate the cooling duct from the heating block, which only gets warm to a slight extent. As a result, I've had no issues using this with PLA/PLA+ materials, but if you don't have a sock installed, I recommend using ABS or better since it's in close proximity to the heating block.
