Kingdom Death Board
thingiverse
This is my rendition of the Kingdom Death 3D board. The files are quite large, ranging from 50-150 MB each for the 22 columns on the board. Each tile is separate and designed to be printed vertically. Please note that this is strictly for non-commercial use only. I've explicitly stated this in the file description, but it's clear that many people have missed it. This file may be removed when the official release of the 3D board is announced. My intention has never been to replace licensed content, but rather to enhance the gaming experience. When the official board is released, this file might be taken down. However, I'll make a decision based on the situation at that time. The other instance where this file may suddenly disappear is if Adam or any member of the KD team requests it. If that happens, I will remove it immediately upon their request. To make the most out of these tiles, I recommend labeling them as they come off the bed using Lettered Columns and Numbered Rows (A1, A2, A3...). This way, you can easily identify the location of each tile if any are misplaced. The tiles have the same size and faces as the Terrain V2 set. As a result, you can remove the terrain pieces from the setup area to create an almost flat playing surface. Some players suggested using an acrylic or glass sheet to create a smooth playing surface while maintaining the texture visibility. This is my preferred method for playing Kingdom Death. If anyone wants to create larger sections of tiles, they are free to remix this file with proper attribution. I'm glad to see that others share my vision for how I want to play Kingdom Death. Each column in the board requires no supports, and there are very few overhangs that should print fine without any additional support structures. However, keep in mind that each print takes around 12-15 hours with my current settings on my Mk3 printer. This means it will take approximately 22 days to complete all the prints or 11 days if you can run them overnight. For now, I recommend creating a frame for the tiles to avoid having to set up every time. I'm planning to use sheet metal and magnetic tiles for this purpose. You could also drill holes for magnets, but that might take longer. I'll be releasing the bools for printing soon, so stay tuned. Remember, this is a non-profit fan-made creation designed to enhance your Kingdom Death experience. Please show your love for the game by using official products and avoiding recasters or unauthorized merchandise. And don't let the darkness of the board's design intimidate you – there's always light somewhere.
