King's Reach George V Thames Monument
sketchfab
A historic landmark situated directly across from Temple Place along the Thames embankment in London stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of King George V. It bears an inscription that reads: "IN COMMEMORATION OF THE TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF HIS MAJESTY'S ACCESSION, THIS STRETCH OF THE RIVER BETWEEN LONDON BRIDGE AND WESTMINSTER BRIDGE WAS NAMED BY THE PORT OF LONDON AUTHORITY KING'S REACH THROUGH HIS MAJESTY'S GRACIOUS CONSENT." This commemorative marker was erected in the year 1935. Surrounding the monument is a sturdy stone arch, which unfortunately cannot be viewed from this vantage point. 88 photographs were taken in March 2019 using a Sony a6000 camera and later processed through Reality Capture software in February 2021.
