King of Tokyo: Alienoid Proxy
thingiverse
Here's my proxy model for Alienoid from the King of Tokyo board game. This fella was quite the challenge to print due to those segmented tentacle legs. Normally I steer clear of top connections when designing supports, but they're a necessity here. Fortunately, they can link up with the street beneath the pelvis section, which puts them on a flat surface and makes them easy to remove (and because they're under the model, they're not super noticeable). I printed this guy at 0.1 mm layers, which unfortunately makes layer lines pretty visible (I think the smaller nozzle actually worsens this a bit) and caused some X axis movement around 30 mm. Despite some small issues with the print, I believe it's still good to go on the table! As always, the .blend file and pre-supported .obj (the one that I used to print it on my Prusa mk3 with a .25 mm nozzle) for this model are available to my patrons at https://patreon.com/VirtuallyJason. If you appreciate my work and have some spare cash each month, please consider joining!
