Laser scan reveals draped hips of a female figure from fragment 7. The King of Ballycastle project is spearheaded by the Museum Services division of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, with funding provided by the National Lottery's Heritage Fund. Emerging technologies will unlock an extraordinary but largely unknown chapter in Ballycastle's history - a mysterious royal figure carved over two millennia ago that once dominated the Ballycastle harbour landscape.
