Mesh of King Edward's Square takes shape with FARO Focus 350S scan\nThe project breaks down into individual segments, each vertex uniquely coloured. Segments are then exported to GeoMagic where they're merged together seamlessly. A UV texture map comes alive, transforming the merged mesh in MeshLab before reapplying it with precision. This innovative process successfully shrinks the project size from 54 GB to a manageable 47 MB, perfect for uploading onto Sketchfab while preserving top-notch texture quality. The original mesh may have better quality but lacks compatibility with Sketchfab; still, its potential shines in video and game rendering software.
