King Cobra & Nest
thingiverse
In this display at the American Museum of Natural History, the female King Cobra (Ophiophagus hannah) constructs a nest before laying eggs. She forms an open loop with her head and forebody, scoops plant debris and soil into a pile within a stand of bamboo, compacts it into a bowl-like depression, lays around 20 to 50 eggs, and covers them with more debris. Males are not allowed near the nest. The 123D Catch output was edited for print readiness, while photosets and scene files are also available.
