In Ghent's Citadel Park, a city situated in Belgium, Baudouin stands proudly with his hands folded behind him. As the fifth King of the Belgians, he took the throne after his father stepped down from power in 1951 and held it until his own passing in 1993. He remains the last Belgian king to have ruled over Congo as its sovereign.
