Kinesis Freestyle2 to Freestyle Edge Lift Kit Adapter
thingiverse
I designed a custom adapter for my Kinesis Freestyle Edge keyboard, allowing me to reuse my existing Kinesis Freestyle2 Lift Kit. The kit itself is slightly longer than needed, but I was able to modify it to fit perfectly. To ensure stability and levelness, I attached the feet directly to the lift kit. This setup provides a solid foundation for the entire assembly. To fabricate the Back Extender, I printed it on its side with manual supports added using MeshMixer software. The design required precise adjustments to achieve optimal results. By adding these custom supports, I was able to create a sturdy and functional component. For added stability and traction, I applied 2mm thick rubber pads underneath the Riser Base. This simple yet effective solution ensures that the entire assembly remains secure and at the perfect height for comfortable use.
