A robot project aims to create a walking machine capable of traversing various surfaces while carrying a restricted load. It could be employed as a surveillance tool in sewer maintenance, for instance. The kinematic walker is designed with six legs, each powered by one motor and connected via linkages. This arrangement enables the legs to move in sync at different angles, emulating the gait of an insect with six legs.
