This kinematic mount, designed for optics adjustment, features a parametric design. It comprises of a living hinge in one corner and two powerful magnets in adjacent corners that are attracted to a pair of set screws used to alter the mirror angle. The magnet sizes correspond to those utilized in MakerBot platforms. Both imperial and metric versions exist; the former incorporates a 1/4" hole, while the latter includes a 6mm hole for compatibility with optical benches. Alternatively, one could use T-slot extrusion for an affordable optical rail, as demonstrated in the photos. To assemble, print and clean up the edges before fitting two M3 nuts, followed by inserting two 3x3x3mm magnets, and finally screwing in two M3 mirror adjustment screws. Superglue may aid in magnet stability.
