Kinect Controlled Arm Robot

Kinect Controlled Arm Robot

thingiverse

This remixed design combines elements from thingiverse models http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:34829 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:65081, specifically tailored for a Makerbot Replicator 2 with an 0.15mm kerf on each contact side for accurate fitting. Standard servo horns may not fit tightly in the original design, so 'servo holder' and 'servo holder1' have been added for base and arm respectively. Lasercut wood base file is available, usable with SVG for editing in Inkscape and PDF for cutting purposes. The board features two groups of holes, but only two will be used for Arduino board placement as per your preference. A homemade shield or Iteaduino may be required to provide servo plugs. Firmware can be found at https://github.com/intijk/armrobot and software at https://github.com/intijk/MicRobot. Updates include laser cutting base files in .svg for editing and .pdf for cutting (02/08/2014), a larger hole on 'servo holder' (02/02/2014), and a video demonstration at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrMLM_CJLlA&feature=youtu.be. For printing, use standard Makerbot configuration with 30% infill. Attach 'servo holder' to servos using Krazy glue and secure assembly with 3mmx4 screws and standoffs (one side male, the other female) x4.
