Kinect Camera Mount

Kinect Camera Mount

thingiverse

This small project entails mounting a Kinect on a standard camera tripod. While it's a work in progress, key elements are included. The provided files enable cutting out two pieces from 6mm or 8mm acrylic using a laser cutter. MDF might not be robust enough since these prongs fit into the Kinect base's bottom holes. Attach the first piece to the Kinect's holes and create a cross shape with the second piece for stability. After cutting these, glue them together and attach a third, circular piece that should have the correct thread for your camera mount, also glued to the first cross section. Finding the right tap might be challenging; an 8mm Perspex works well, while 6mm is suitable for the clip but may be too thin for the base.
