This is a protective case designed specifically for the Kindle Paperwhite 3, although it may also fit other devices due to its versatile dimensions. When transformed into a hands-free stand, it offers the perfect reading experience while sitting comfortably on your stomach in bed or utilizing a train or plane seat back tray. A notable feature of this case is its innovative no-play friction device at the hinge, which ensures smooth and effortless operation. Additionally, the phrase "don't panic" is thoughtfully printed on the case, adding a touch of personality to its design. The main hinge incorporates a clever arrangement of basic hardware that creates the no-play friction device, allowing for seamless movement and stability. I have included an image for reference purposes. The other hinges are securely fastened together using short self-tapping screws. A soft pad is also integrated into the design to keep your Kindle in place, and I utilized a piece of 1mm thick expanded EPDM for this purpose.
