The Killers band LED Lantern. LED Fairy Lights are used by warping them around a small light stand inside an upside-down glass jar with a 3in base. The lantern has eight panels featuring five unique designs and a top plate with its own design, along with a base plate to hold the jar and accommodate the LED power cord. This is a gift for my girlfriend in February of 2017. If you create this project or modify it by adding your own design using the frame, please share pictures here! I'd love to see them. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Supports: This doesn't matter. Notes: The side panels could be printed slightly smaller for a better fit. They were very close to fitting perfectly, but I trimmed them with a knife and made it work. So, you might want to scale down the side panels or make the top and bottom plates slightly larger for a smoother assembly. You know your printer best; feel free to print test models and try it out. The Skeckup models are uploaded so you can adjust the fit as needed. Additionally, you can open the Skeckup models and delete the existing panel designs to replace them with your own artwork. It's very modular. More Information: If you plan on using just the frame, consider printing test models first. When I printed all the parts separately, they fitted perfectly, but when it came time to assemble everything, the tolerance buildup made the bottom of the panels slightly too small to fit together properly. I had to shave some material off to make it work. This is also true for the side connectors; you might need to shave a bit off to ensure a snug fit. However, this will depend on your printer's specific tolerances. The top plate was another issue - the slot that holds all the parts together wasn't wide enough. The first few layers printed by my Anet A8 were significantly larger than they should have been, so nothing could slide into place. You can modify it in Sketchup or simply hot glue everything together (which is what I did, but then the top wouldn't come off).
