Killerbody LC70 Bed Bob Jig (40mm)

thingiverse

This jig simplifies bobbing the Killerbodies LC70 bed by making it straightforward. It cuts 40mm behind the wheel arches. Designed for use with a thin Japanese handsaw, or any tool featuring a blade close to .5mm (the slot is .85mm wide). Position the body within the jig and hold it firmly in place while cutting, first removing the rear portion and then cutting the slot closer to the middle (never cut out of order). Leaving the bed cap rails intact during cutting is recommended; either glue them in place or simply snap them on. For optimal results, PLA might suffice but PETG was chosen for its ability to produce a straight cut. PLA will exhibit more wear and tear with frequent use. Cutting at the designated location retains the mount points for the rear valance where brake lights are attached. Using a long saw provides the best outcome; cutting both sides simultaneously yields superior results.
