Kill Team Magnetic Stacking Storage Trays
thingiverse
I created a compact storage solution for my Kill Team using magnets because I couldn't find one that met my needs. The solution I came up with features trays of various heights designed to accommodate a magnet sheet, which can be cut and inserted into them. I've had success with 1.5mm flexible sticky-backed magnetic sheets or cutting steel down to the right size/shape. The holes in each tray are perfectly sized for supergluing 4mm x 2mm magnets. The trays also come with a lid that has slots for battle tracker dice and an accessory tray for storing tokens and dice. To prevent miniatures from shifting around, I included inserts with various base sizes as well as a solid insert that can be customized to add a combination of holes. Additionally, I provided 25mm, 32mm, and 40mm bases with a socket for a magnet on the bottom, using 4mm x 2mm magnets. These storage trays are ideal for keeping miniatures organized in a cupboard or shelf. If you plan to take them on the move, they can be easily stored in a sealable container like the Lock & Lock model HPL822B 2.6L box. The box is designed specifically to fit 160mm of trays plus a lid, and each tray has its total height listed in its file name.
