This adapter lets you use filters with a widely available diameter on your Kiev 16U lenses: Mir-11M, Vega-7-1 and Tair-41M. The main reason I created this adapter is so you can use a variable ND filter and shoot wide open. # Benefits: * Uses a commonly available 49mm filter size * Does not introduce vignetting * Provides a snug fit that's easy to pop off when swapping lenses * Rotatable, allowing markings on your filter to face up The fact that it's rotatable is especially handy when using variable ND or polarizer filters. Normally you'd have to accept the way the filter ends up when fully screwed in. It does make it slightly harder to grab the aperture on the Mir-11M 12.5mm and Vega-7-1 20mm, since the ring is so close to the end of these lenses. But you can easily pop the filter adapter off if you need to change the aperture.
