Kiev 10/15 Lens To Leica M Body (Techart Pro LM-EA7) Adapter

The Kiev 10 was the pioneering Soviet-built SLR camera to boast automatic exposure capabilities, leveraging an ingenious internal linkage system that harmoniously controlled lens aperture - a feat achieved without the need for an aperture control ring on the lens itself. This innovative design shared a common lens mount with the Kiev 15 TEE model but diverged significantly in all other aspects, rendering adaptation to alternative mounts a considerable challenge. Thing 1464062 represents a custom adapter I engineered specifically to seamlessly integrate these lenses onto Sony E bodies, allowing for precise aperture adjustments via a subtle turn of the lens. This adapter's design bears striking resemblance (on the Kiev 10/15 side) but cleverly adapts to Leica M body mounts, prompting the question: what inspired this adaptation? The answer lies in harnessing the full potential of these manual lenses in conjunction with autofocus capabilities on Sony E bodies via the Techart Pro LM-EA7 adapter. The last two photographs showcased were captured using the LM-EA7 autofocus feature on an A7II camera paired with a Jupiter 9 lens.
