***14 DEC 2019*** I've uploaded a fresh version of the "Unicorn" special tools that should be easier to print on some machines. I've also added an improved Power Tools sign. These are the -1 files. I plan to continue working on this project over the holidays and add more features. If you spot something missing, let me know. Tips can be sent via paypal.me/TIPSez84 ***original upload*** I have a four-year-old daughter who owns her own dirt bike. Since she rides, she enjoys tinkering with it. I found that it was challenging to get her to recall where the tools were stored. She would remember the name and what it was for but not its location on the box. Additionally, my 18-month-old son loves helping out in the garage. I decided to create cartoon-shaped tools with the tool's name printed on them. This way, both kids can learn: 1. Where the tools are stored in the box (it also helps me and my wife). 2. What each tool looks like (associating names with shapes). 3. How to spell the tool's name as they learn to read. I've uploaded a selection of tools, which I'll continue to add every week: Wrench Metric Wrench Imperial Pliers Screwdriver File Hammer Ratchet & Socket Electrical Calipers / Precision Tools Specialty Tools (that's the unicorn) Power Tools In the near future, I plan to add micrometers and maybe a multi-meter. If you have a request, please let me know. Once the parts are printed (most print in an hour or so with 4 walls & 10% infill), just glue some magnetic tape to the backside and attach them to your toolbox. Then sit back and enjoy watching someone learn and grow! Oh! I almost forgot - if you'd like to send a coffee or beer my way, that would be great!
