The creation of an educational timepiece hinges entirely on the use of press-fitting – no adhesive is required. The clock hand, secured with washers in between, is fixed firmly by a self-locking nut. My project was constructed using a desktop CNC machine from Stepcraft, out of 6 mm birch plywood, with a spiral-toothed 1.2 mm flute.
