***14 DEC 2019*** I've uploaded a fresh version of the "Unicorn" special tools that are easier to print on various machines. I've also added an easy-to-print Power Tools sign. These are the -1 files. I plan to continue working on this over the holidays and add some features later. Please let me know if you spot anything that I should create. ***original upload*** I have a four-year-old daughter who loves her dirt bike, and since she rides it, she tinkers with it too. However, I found it challenging for her to recall where the tools were located on the box. She could recall the name of each tool and what it was used for but not its location. Additionally, my 18-month-old son enjoys helping out in the garage. So, I thought, why not create cartoon-shaped tools with the name of each tool printed on them? This way, both kids can learn: 1. Where the tools are located in the box (it's also helpful for my wife) 2. What the tools look like and associate their names with shapes 3. How to spell the name of each tool as they begin learning to read I have uploaded (and I'm working on more every week) the following tools: Wrench Metric Wrench Imperial Pliers Screwdriver File Hammer Ratchet & Socket Electrical Calipers / Precision Tools Specialty Tools (that's the unicorn, including brake bleeder kits) Power Tools In the near future, I plan to add micrometers and possibly a multi-meter. If you have any requests, please let me know so that I can work on them. Once these parts are printed (most take about an hour with 4 walls and 10% infill), attach some magnetic tape to the backside and stick them onto your toolbox. Then, just enjoy watching someone learn and grow! Oh! I almost forgot - send me a cup of coffee or beer so that I have something to drink while working in the garage.
