My wife said "daughter" has got a dance show where they need to look like scientists tomorrow, so I measured our daughter's head and a short while later we had a tangible object that was usable. I'm going to 3D print my next pair of glasses, so the challenge is to get to a pair of glasses that are actually wearable and take lenses. Print Settings Printer: CTC Makerbot replica Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: I've printed a few copies of these out and they're pretty strong and light. The arms fit into the main part with a tight fit but you could glue them if you want them a bit more permanent. They're supposed to be a quick design and print to fulfil a need, but I'm going to do some more work on them over time and make a pair that will actually take lenses for my next glasses. Custom Section Misc Printed in Excelvan 1.75mm clear PLA. Takes about an hour to print the two side pieces and the main part. Estimated plastic cost £0.10.
