Kids' Easy Access to Kitchen Sink Tap
thingiverse
Kids at this age refuse to use a stool to access the kitchen sink's tap because it takes too much effort. They're too short to comfortably reach the spout without water pouring down their arms and elbows. A well-designed push spout changes everything for kids, redirecting the water towards them as they easily grasp it in one motion. The intelligent design also caters to adults doing everyday household chores by providing a convenient mechanism to divert the flow from the back downwards directly onto countertops. Although I've created a working model, some components require further improvement - notably the cap and bottom - where additional strength is required to sustain heavier use. This realization has compelled me to hold off on producing the final piece that operates this feature.
