Kids Batman Mask
thingiverse
My little guys want to dress up as Batman this Halloween, and I'm planning on making the costumes myself - a fun project! To give the felt mask some extra structure, I was thinking of adding a semi-rigid backing. This way, it will hold its shape perfectly. This design is specifically tailored for kids' heads, with a temple-to-temple width of 100mm. It's easy to scale up or down to fit an adult's head if needed. However, keep in mind that kids' noses are generally smaller, so the mask might not cover an adult's nose completely - you'll need to experiment with different sizes. I left the eyes uncut on purpose, allowing for easy customization after printing and avoiding overhang issues altogether. This design could be used as a starting point for many other superheroes as well. For my kids' costumes, I actually printed this design using MakerGeeks Makerflex - it's super flexible yet holds its shape amazingly well. If you want to modify the design, you can access the Fusion 360 file here: http://a360.co/2wPq5pU
